Detroit and Camp

Took a trip to visit Belle Isle in Detroit, and stopped by Camp Burt Shurley to help organize the craft room. 

Asylum Lake Nature Preserve

I was strolling in the park today.
In the merry month of May.
I was taken by surprise, by a pair of roguish eyes.
And at gunpoint, stole my wallet away.

Manistee River Trail

I hiked the Manistee River Loop, which included the Manistee River Trail and the North Country Trail and had the whole trail to myself for 23 miles over 2 days. I learned that temperature ratings on sleeping bags are not a suggestion AND it should be given a 10 degree buffer if using a hammock rather than a tent. Even though the trees were barren and life had only just come back to the forest, it was a beautiful trip the whole way through.
